I think it is fair to say that one of the *strengths* (not problems) of the
e2e argument is that the definition of 'end' varies depending on the
context. In other words the e2e argument is extremely broadly applicable.
In the context of the end-to-end argument it is not meaningful to ask
whether some entity X is an "end" without specifying w.r.t which feature
you want to support or property you want to preserve.
