That was my point - that there's no clear way to do that (clear = justified
in terms of how traffic sources actually behave). Instead, this is usually
done in the opposite direction: you simulate heavy-tailed ON/OFF traffic
sources, and as these get aggregated together on a link, the aggregate
traffic seen on the link is (asymptotically) FGN.
