Bob, I'm sure you know that ignorance of history, colorful or not, leads to
more colorful future problems.  Cloaking someone's idea of what should or
should not be discussed in relation to end-end protocols as a law will not
advance anyone else's interest, especially the public's.  It may intimidate
some, which would be too bad.  If you don't like a discussion, ignore it.  We
can all do that.  That old Delete key is great!
