[e2e] HTTP Deltas and parallel connections

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any work on transmitting HTTP deltas on multiple
parallel connections from the web-server to the client in order to reduce
the user-perceived latency?

I'm concerned with a high-delay link, such as the one within a hybrid
satellite network. This, of course, assumes previously cached content at
the client.
