Not only that, but, perhaps pressed by the appearance of RCN, in my town, mediaone/AT&T broadband/comcast/... (too many name changes!) built a new
cable plant and moved subscribers one by one to the new backbone (complete
with new cable box, channel lineup, etc.,)
