I think, that´s a clue here. You talk about core developers, perhaps we
can even identify something like
the "ns2 core".

So that we can distinguish the stable "core" and individual add ons
written for individual projects.
With respect to my orignial question: It would be helpful to have the
flow contro mechanisms using the AWND
in the "stable code". At least I think so. I don´t know whether others
share this opinion.

In general, I don´t criticize the NS2. I criticize how the NS2 is often
used, at least among some colleagues und departments I know myself.
I know a lot of people who use "NS2" as a kind of buzzword while having
_no_ idea, what they are talking about.

Myself, I got absolutely no assistance here and I had to learn how to
use the NS from reading the documentation (which necessarily cannot be
complete
in a "living program") and the source code. Perhaps, there could be an
easier way. I don´t know.
