[e2e] Is sanity in NS2?

I've refrained from jumping into this thread till now, but I'd like to
inject the following:
i) your points on the various deficiencies in ns, the mailing list SNR,
documentation, etc. are well taken, and I agree
ii) a group is forming to organize a new development community to fix
these things

There is a mailing list at http://www.isi.edu/nsnam/ns/ns-dev-list.html
where future directions for ns are being discussed.  You shouldn't see
any HELP!!! in the subject lines (list is now moderated).  The
discussions about next steps should pick up more steam after the
impending next maintenance release of ns.  I invite those people who
care about ns to participate in the discussion there and subsequent
development/testing.
