Bob said he'd "eat his words".... 

He tried to get out of it by wheeling a cake out with his words in icing
on the top in front of the web conference plenary session.  He was booed
down by the audience.

He then took the page from the magazine, put it in a blender, added some
water, turned it into paper pulp, and drank it down.  

Bob looked pretty green afterwords when I saw him. He does have guts,
Metcalfe does...
