hi,
Several times people have made a request for traffic generators.
I wanted to let the list know that TG, a tool originally developed
at SRI, is now available at:
http://www.postel.org/services.html.
The USC/ISI Postel Center for Experimental Networking has
contributed time and resources to make this possible.
For people familiar with TG, the latest distribution does have
multicast and diffserv support and a perl script to support
graphing the results of experiments. Binaries are available
for Solaris, SunOS (if your site still has it), FreeBSD, and Linux.
The distribution also includes source.
Sorry for the long delay in getting this back out to the community
but personal circumstances made it almost impossible to distribute
it once I left SRI.
Let me know if you have any questions. The mailing list for tg
is tg at postel.org.
